My Gear
Hiking through the mountains has been my passion. How do I get from where I am, some random trail head parking lot, to where I want to be, the summit of a peak?
Obstacles of all sorts will be encountered along the way, and our skills at navigating them makes the difference between easily moving forward or getting stuck completely. To do that we need some gear, knowledge and a willingness to embark on the adventure that 90% of the time, we will not be at our end goal.
Metaphorically we travel the same wild terrain in our daily lives as we head towards our goals. Obstacles get in our way, things that we didn't expect happen, and we experience emotions that don't feel good.
How do I navigate that?
As a Life Guide I help clients move through life in an empowered way and teach them how to live life masterfully well.
Every piece of gear that I carry with me, that helps me navigate the mountains, I also have metaphorically the same bit of equipment that helps me navigate my inner world. I teach my clients to use these tools, as I guide them out of what is causing them pain.

This is my gear
My pack like my mind and it contains all the gear I carry. When I have negative thoughts about something, it is like putting rocks into this pack. The more negative thoughts in there, the more uncomfortable it is for me to carry; it weighs me down and takes the fun out of the journey. The heavier your pack is, the harder it is to do even the simplest things. The thoughts that feel good are like carrying feathers, there is that joyful lightness to them, an easiness at having them in your mind.
My boots are like my focus. What I am thinking about is where I am headed. They tell race car drivers "never look at the wall, because that is where you will go", it's the same for the thought that we think.
"Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand."
~ Bob Proctor

My map is like my imagination, what I dream of doing and being. From that map I plan my hiking route, which is like setting an intention. I have learned how to use the tool of setting intentions to align with getting the best of it. I'll teach you how it's done.

My compass is like my inner guidance, intuition and inner wisdom. It tells me through my emotions, through how my body feels, if I am headed towards or away from where I want to go and lets me know what is best for me. It forever has my highest good set due north.
My food is like my inspiration. That nourishing light bulb moment when you get an idea to do something you never dreamed of doing before. It can be a big crazy idea that feels like a sugar high, has you smiling from ear to ear and running around saying "I want to do that", or a simple joyful feeling of wanting to create something new. When acted upon the results are always good.
My water bottle and water are like my abilities to flow where I want to go. When we feel good, or at least feel relief, we are flowing around the obstacles. It is that calm, grounded place that allows things to be as they are, and as we maintain that feeling, we continue to flow with life, moving towards what we are wanting.

My first aid kit is like 90 % of my coaching tools. When out hiking this bag stays in the bottom of my pack; thankfully I don't use it often, but I use these coaching tools all the time. This kit contains all I need to heal from emotional wounds and work through painful thoughts and judgements that I have about the past or the future. It's my life saver and what I always have with me, ready to use.
This is where my coaching is focused in on, guiding clients through the processes I use to keep me happy, healthy and functioning at my best.

My extra clothing is like my ability to find comfort. When you still your mind, letting thoughts pass freely, you reach the place where peace lives. And from that place you know, and feel, "All is well."
"You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever." "You have nothing to fear." "There is nothing you can do wrong."
